The North East is facing a local lockdown as coronavirus cases rises
As per the latest news, the following areas are being expect to announce a local lockdown later this morning: Northumberland, Newcastle, Sunderland, North and South Tyneside, Gateshead and County Durham council.
With Bumble Print based in the Country Durham area, we will be following the government’s new rules and not meeting with clients across the region until it to safe to do so. Our work will continue to be done remotely as normal. Both Printing and Website Design services will remain unaffected.
It is thought that as from Friday pubs could be closing earlier. Restrictions could be placed on households mixing. Prime Minister Boris Johnson has told the Sun: “The only way to make sure the country is able to enjoy Christmas is to be tough now.”
Coronavirus in the North East has been rising over the past few weeks. The decision is being put into place because of this. It is also known, the testing in the region is high. Meaning several people have been sent across the country in order to get a test. Some as far as Scotland.
Other parts of the UK which have already increased lockdown measures include: Birmingham, Glasgow and Greater Manchester.
