A branded calendar is one of the few bits of print people actively want. Hand one out in December and it’ll be on a wall or a desk until next Christmas, with your name on it every single day. Here’s how to choose the right type for 2027.
Wall Calendars
Wall calendars have a photo or design for every month, with the dates underneath. They’re perfect when you have great pictures to show off.
Good for: photographers, gardeners, builders, venues, charities, dog groomers, anyone with a year of nice photos. They also sell well as a product if you have a following.
Desk Calendars
Desk calendars stand up on their own on a desk or counter. They’re smaller and sit right next to the person you want to remember you.
Good for: businesses with office based clients, like accountants, solicitors, recruiters, IT companies and suppliers. Your phone number is right there when they need it.
Drilled Hole Calendars
Drilled hole calendars come with a hanging hole already in, so they go straight up on a hook or nail. No fiddling about with string or pins.
Good for: handing out in larger numbers, like trades vans, takeaways, garages and local services who want their number on every kitchen wall in the area.
What To Put On Your Calendar
- Your contact details on every page, not just the front. Phone number and website as a minimum.
- Your own photos where you can. Real jobs, real pets, real places look better than stock pictures.
- Useful dates. Bank holidays are a must. Add your own dates too, like busy seasons, open days or when to book a service.
- A reason to call. A seasonal reminder like “Book your boiler service” in September does a lot more than just a logo.
When To Order
Calendars need to be in people’s hands before January, so aim to order by late November. That leaves time for the design, a proof and printing before the Christmas rush. Pop them in with Christmas cards or other Christmas print and you’re sorted.
